Uranium Energy Corp (AMEX:UEC) Targets Significant Growth in the Uranium Industry

Uranium Energy Corp (AMEX:UEC) is a prominent player in the uranium industry, focusing on the exploration, development, and production of uranium. The company is making significant strides in the U.S. uranium market, with operations in Wyoming and Texas. UEC's recent activities have positioned it as a key player in the industry, with a market capitalization of approximately $6.19 billion.

On September 24, 2025, Katie Lachapelle from Canaccord Genuity set a price target of $17.50 for UEC. At that time, UEC's stock was priced at $14.20, suggesting a potential upside of about 23.28%. Currently, UEC's stock is trading at $13.93, reflecting a slight increase of 0.54% or $0.075. The stock has seen a range between $13.12 and $15.05 today, with $15.05 being its highest price over the past year.

UEC's fiscal 2025 annual report highlights a year of transition as the company moves into uranium production in Wyoming and nears the start-up of operations at Burke Hollow in Texas. The launch of the U.S. Uranium Refining & Conversion Corp positions UEC as the only vertically integrated uranium company in America, covering the entire process from mining to planned conversion.

A significant development for UEC this year was the acquisition of Rio Tinto's Sweetwater Complex, establishing UEC's third U.S. hub-and-spoke production platform. This acquisition expanded the company's licensed capacity to 12.1 million pounds of U₃O₈ annually, reinforcing UEC's status as the largest U.S. uranium company by estimated resources and licensed production capacity.

Operational highlights include an initial production ramp-up, with approximately 130,000 pounds of precipitated uranium and dried and drummed U₃O₈ as of July 31, 2025. UEC achieved low-cost production, with a total cost per pound of $36.41, including a cash cost per pound of $27.63 and a non-cash cost per pound of $8.78. This was made possible through the successful commissioning of the Irigaray Central Processing Plant, which processed 26,421 pounds of U₃O₈ in fiscal 2025.
